Young people may arrive at 7pm and be involved with the Christian element of the evening (which will run from 7pm until 7.30pm) free of charge. Or they may arrive after 7.30pm and use our facilities for the cost of £5. The evening ends at 9pm.
The session is a ‘Drop In’ rather than a ‘Youth Club’. This means that young people are free to come and go as they please during the evening. While in the building the young people will be in our care (our Child Protection Policy is available to view on request). Young people who choose to leave the building will no longer be under our supervision and will therefore be outside our duty of care.
Our lead Youth Worker is Daniel King. He has fifteen years of sports coaching and youth work experience across all ages. Daniel has previous managed a charity that took young offenders from South Wales to Eastern European countries such as Kosovo, Romania and Bosnia. He has also been involved with organisations such as the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Wales, The Beacon Centre in St Mellons Cardiff, as well as the City of Cardiff & City of Derby Swimming Clubs.
Please note that social Media posts may contain photos of young people from the Drop In session. However no personal tags will ever be done by Grangetown Baptist Church of your young people on any of its posts.
We are registered with the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Wales.
